Being a mindful hairstylist means bringing intention, presence, and awareness into every part of the salon experience.
I believe hair care can be more than simply creating a beautiful style. It can be a moment to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and feel good about the products and choices you’re making for your body and the planet.
I thoughtfully choose cleaner, conscious, and eco-friendly products that are kinder to you, your hair, and the environment. I also approach each appointment with presence and care—listening to what you want, respecting your individual needs, and creating a space where you can relax and simply be.
My work as a hairstylist and my practice as a modern mindfulness meditation teacher naturally come together here: beauty with intention, self-care with awareness, and a more conscious approach to the way we care for ourselves and our world.

Come with your hair down and in its natural state. There’s no need to wash your hair before your appointment—come as you normally wear it.
Wear your hair down: Leave your curls hanging loosely. Avoid ponytails, buns, braids, clips, hats, or headbands that can flatten, stretch, or disrupt your natural curl pattern. Avoid excessive products on your hair the day of your haircut.
Come as you are: You don’t need to do anything special to your hair beforehand. I want to see your curls in their natural state and understand how they naturally fall and move.
Be ready to talk about your routine: During our consultation, we’ll discuss what you currently do—and don’t do—with your hair. The products you use, how often you wash, how you style, how much time you realistically want to spend on your hair, and what you love or struggle with all help me create a cut that works for your real life, not just for the salon.
Bring inspiration if you have it: Photos of what you like or don’t like can be helpful, especially if the photo is from one of your past haircuts that you’ve liked. I’ll talk through what will work with your unique curl pattern, texture, and lifestyle.
The goal is to create a haircut that feels like you—and is manageable, beautiful, and realistic for your everyday life.

Come with your hair as you normally wear it. You don’t need to do anything special beforehand.
For a haircut: Come with your hair dry and down if possible, so I can see how your natural texture, movement, and shape look before we begin.
For color: There’s no need to wash your hair immediately before your appointment. Your normal hair-washing routine is perfectly fine.
Avoid heavy styling products: If possible, come without excessive oils, dry shampoo, gels, or other buildup so I can accurately assess your hair and scalp.
Be ready to talk about your hair: I’ll want to understand your current routine, what you use on your hair, how often you wash and style it, and what you like or don’t like about your current color or haircut.
Bring inspiration: Photos of looks you love—or even styles or colors you’ve had in the past that you really liked—can be helpful. They give me a better understanding of what you’re envisioning.
Most importantly, come as you are. My goal is to understand your hair, your preferences, and your lifestyle so I can create something that feels beautiful, natural, and realistic for you..

Being a mindful hairstylist means I think beyond what’s inside the bottle. I care about the people, communities, and planet behind the products I choose for my salon.
Fair trade means supporting products and ingredients sourced with greater care for the people who grow, harvest, and produce them. This can include fair wages, safer working conditions, ethical sourcing, and more sustainable practices.
As I became more conscious of the products I use in my own life, I wanted those same values to be part of my salon. I can’t control every step of a product’s journey, but I can be intentional about the companies I support.
To me, that’s conscious beauty—creating beautiful hair while making choices that are kinder to people and the planet.

Item descriptionMy relationship with plastic is really about intention. I’m not against plastic, and I know it has its place. But becoming a mom made me more aware of the materials I surround myself with and the choices I make every day.
When I created my salon, I wanted that same awareness to be part of the space. I wanted it to feel warm, natural, calm, and grounded—not like a typical salon filled with synthetic materials and products.
You’ll find natural textures and materials throughout my space because I love the way they feel. Wood, glass, stone, natural fibers, and other earthy elements create a sense of warmth and connection to nature. They also reflect the kind of experience I want to offer: simple, thoughtful, and intentional.
As a mindful hairstylist, I believe our surroundings can affect how we feel. My hope is that when you walk through my door, you can take a breath, slow down, and feel a little more connected—to yourself, to nature, and to the moment.
Every detail of my salon is a reflection of what I value: less excess, more intention, and beauty that feels natural.

Don’t quite get the harm in all those super sudzy, super “clean” smelling items you use every day at home- like in your laundry detergent? I challenge you to my “Tide Pod Challenge”. For 60 days I want you to switch over to a non scented laundry detergent, and after 60 days you will smell your old detergent (like Tide) and be totally overwhelmed by the smell! You’ll wonder how you were swimming in that scent all these years once you have detoxed off of it. Here is my recipe for at home laundry detergent, which by the way, is way cheaper then using Tide!
Make it yourself laundry detergent recipe:-2 Cups Epsom Salt
-2 Cups Borax
-2 Cups Baking Soda
-2 Cups Washing Soda
-2 Bars Castille Soap (grated) I get mine lavender scented from the dollar store.
In each wash I use 2 Tbsp or Max 1/4th of a cup.PRO TIP: ditch the dryer sheet addiction: not only are the costly, but you’re shedding chemicals and plastic into your clothes (hello now soft fabric) and into the water. Don’t forget all of that waste!
I use reusable wool dryer balls and on them I sprinkle my essential oil of choice.
